Advice re my bunny lodgers (concerned about their bond) Empty Advice re my bunny lodgers (concerned about their bond)

As the title says, really.

They are humping eacother occasionally and yesterday there was a bit of a scuffle with some chasing and fur pulling. They are in my room, which was totally stripped and sprayed with 50:50 vinegar and water. I changed EVERYTHING. They have their own dog crate and own fleeces.

The only thing they have which has been used by my rabbits is 2 panels to extend their dog crate, a zoozone cage base, plastic bowl, 2 foam mats and the metal playpen which i made into a 6x4 run (they've been fine whilst in the run). Everything that i used has been neutralised, and some of it hasnt been used for months.

They are here until Wednesday evening, but im concerned that their bond breaks. Marley and Dolly have the odd scuffle and chase, but its different when its someone elses rabbits.

Any help/advice would be welcomed!

Theyre always been together, theyre full sisters, both spayed and are now 8months old.

ETA: Dont get me wrong, it was only the one scuffle, but i want to know ive done everything to try and prevent it. I spent days making sure there wasnt a trace of Skye left in my room.

Bearing in mind their change of current circumstances they might well be re-establishing their hierarchy.

Well Natalie had mentioned that before they came, they were a bit humpy with eachother. Lets just hope they dont fall out big style! *fingers crossed* Makes me feel a little uneasy, because they arent mine. Saying that, they are flopped in the carrier now! Rolling Eyes

I'm inclined to agree with Cheryl, they are in new, neutral territory and their instints have kicked in. I don't know, but suspect that the bond is certainly under pressure, but whether or not things will return to normal when they get back, I wouldn't know. I think I'm seeing anne over the week-end, I'll see if she can give you any advice Smile

Thanks, Jay.

A few people who board bunnies have said they tend to settle down after a few days. There hasnt been any problems since. Ive been scatter feeding and seeing to them before my own 3, just to be on the safe side.
