"guide pigs for the blind?
Ive just been reading through some cases on a website that takes in and rehomes buns, and one said a bun lives with "guide pigs for the blind" I thought guinea pigs shouldnt live with rabbits? This one has 2 living with her and seek reasurance from her if scared. Im not having a dig im just a bit
Re: "guide pigs for the blind?

Would it be touch, as I know some animals are very theraputic. I must admit I have never ever heard of 'Guide pigs for the blind'

I did wonder, ive never heard of them either. All animals can be theraputic in my opinion. It saddens me to see how people treat them, and its such a shame people who dont like animals for one reason or another cant learn to love them, the world would be a better place. I think they make us better people and I think Marley was sent to me from the Angels to get me through what were tough times ahead.
Ive been very deep in thought today, can you tell?

Re: "guide pigs for the blind?
I'm confused......
Are these guide pigs for blind humans or blind rabbits?
It may sound like a bizzare question, but either way sounds a bit ludicrous to me!

My guinea pigs would be rubbish guide pigs. You wouldn't go anywhere you wanted to go and they would generate a general sense of panic within you and judging on current tunnel behaviour would nudge you straight out into traffic. But you would aloways know when you were passing a food source (wheek! wheek!)

Re: "guide pigs for the blind?
They are actually quite quiet normally. My oap that died last winter was really gobby and spoke for all of them! My neighbours keep asking if I still have them because they never her them! but in the last week they shout at me everytime I come into the garden. They have suddenly found their voices
