People with trios/groups
Do you often get much chasing/disagreements even well after bonding and the group is well established?
My 3 are going back into the playhouse tomorrow afternoon, though im tempted to do it now! I was just wondering if the odd little scuffles they have will continue. Everything seems fairly even, im not sure whos the dominant bun, but even when M&D were a pair, it wasnt always easy to tell who was top boss. I think its Marley though.

Re: People with trios/groups
My trio were unsettled for about three months to be honest, they were bonded, and i could leave them but it wasnt solid, they still had scuffles and chased etc.
When i put them in the shed, i made sure they couldnt get upstairs and couldnt go outside for a week, so they HAD to be near each other to ensure one didnt end up staying outside

Re: People with trios/groups
When they finally get their run back, ill be sectioning it off and extending their optdoor space a bit at a time. By the time ive extended the pen to 4x4 ill probably leave them like that for a week, then take the pen away (the playhouse is 5x4 and i cant section off the shelves, Dolly will just try and jump up and end up injuring herself on a grid, knowing what shes like!) They wont get their run back for a while though.SarahJane wrote:My trio were unsettled for about three months to be honest, they were bonded, and i could leave them but it wasnt solid, they still had scuffles and chased etc.

Re: People with trios/groups
I have a group of 4, they get on quite well but the smallest and youngest, Opal, is the odd one out and gets chased a bit by Annie and Hazel.
They dont have big arguements however.
Hope you get your trio sorted soon

Re: People with trios/groups
I have a trio, Vince is boss, followed by Hazel and then Faline is at the bottom. Hazel sometimes picks on Faline but if it gets too much Vince steps in and tells Hazel off. If Vince is stressed about something however, he will take it out on Faline.
I sometimes think Vince prefers Faline to Hazel, I have seen him mouting Faline but never Hazel (display of dominance). I do believe they are a happy trio, I have tried adding to them but with no success, they are happy as they are.

Awww. This sounds a bit like Marley, he gives Dolly a telling off when she goes a bit too far with Skye. They are out in the playhouse for the first night, and im feeling quite nervous. I used vet bed and added an underbed storage box for a litter tray. I hope it wasnt too soon. Im a little worried about them, but im sure everything will be ok in the morning.
