Hi there!
I'm Carla and I'm from Berkshire.
I kept rabbits many years ago, although it was when I was still living with my parents so I was very limited. Two, Dylan the Nethie and Benji the dutch cross, lived in a massive hutch in the garden, but Pickle the cross (no idea of breed) was an indoor bunny. However that was partly because he had real issues (very long story!).
All of the three boys had teeth problems, which was partly down to lack of knowledge on our part and partly genetic I imagine. Didn't help with Pickle that my mum taught him to beg for biscuits when she opened the tin, despite me telling her not to
When I moved out and in with my now husband, we had guinea pigs. He grew up with them and we were both fond of them. When the last died 18 months ago he said no pets. Then nearly two weeks ago we both fell in love with an adorable dwarf lop little girl, after a day of me pitifully nagging he gave in, and Florence came into our lives nearly a week ago (she was too little to leave straight away).
Detirmined not to have another bunny with teeth problems I've been googling like mad, the internet didn't exist when I first kept bunnies! She is also my first female bunny, so that is another learning curve. And I came across this site, which I have to say is the friendliest of the bunny sites I had a look at!
I am very lucky as Florence is the sweet, affectionate bunny I was hoping for. In fact, she is more easy going that I could have ever imagined. When we first saw her it was obvious that she was a confident little thing as she came running over to us, but she hhas really surprised me. She is living happily in our living room, and is mesmorised by the fish tank which shares the room with her.
This is our little furbaby
So that's me, and Florence of course.

Re: Hi there!
Welcome to HH!
Your little girl is beautiful!!!
Can't wait to hear more about her
Edit: My bun used to share a living room with a fish tank too until we moved, they are in two separate bedrooms now. It never occured to me whether or not she ever took any notice of them

Re: Hi there!
Hi Carla
Welcome to happy hoppers. It is very friendly here and there are loads of very knowledgeable owners here as well if you have any questions about anything. Teeth problems are really better understood in rabbits these days and the right diet can minimise the issue.
I too have a Florence.

Re: Hi there!
Hi Carla - and Florence!
She is a lovely looking girl, but do I detect a hint of cheekiness in that photo
Glad that you find the forum friendly, have a good browse around and just post. There is no such question as a silly question. :thummb:

Florence asks if he is good looking!!!
Thanks for the welcome guys, I've taken some more piccies of her on camera (most have been on phone so I can show her off on Facebook easily!) so I will start a photo thread. She is getting quite a cheeky so and so, I had a grunt yesterday when I was trying to catch her to put her back in her cage so she's definitely getting more confident. It really is lovely seeing her so happy

He most definitely is!! this week he seems to have discovered the joys of chewing wires, which is a bit annoying!! We've let buttons explore the whole flat over the past couple of weeks and he now just follows me everywhere like a little puppy!! He also loves a good game of chase (him chasing me!!)
Can't wait to hear your stories as she gets cheekier and cheekier!!
