May I please have somd advice
Hello friends
As you know I have an eight and a half year old bunny called Mr Snuffie Snuffles.
Recently he has a very dry back, bottom and ears and it looks as if he has dandruff. The vet insists it is not flees, just dry skin due to his age. I have bought some coco butter cream and have been rubbing it into his dry areas, but it doesn;t seem to be doing much good.
Does anyone know of something better I could use? I have actually clipped the fur on his back and bottom so the skin is more exposed and the cream can do more good, at least, that was the intention.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Hugs
Jo xx

Re: May I please have somd advice
Aww, poor Mr Snuffies snuffles
I haven't used it myself but Assisi oil is meant to be superb, it's for sore skin, dermatitis, excema, and I know a couple of people that use it and rave about it.
There's abit of info here http://www.bunnybazaar.com/more/on/details/SORE

Re: May I please have somd advice
I have just read the link again Jay dear, and I think it is the one I want for Snuffy. It is for skin problems so I think it should be OK.

I use Assisi cream and the grooming spray and it's brilliant stuff wouldn't be without it and I get mine from Bunny Bazaar as I don't know of anywhere else that sells it.

Re: May I please have somd advice
We used to use E45 on our white dog as she was always dry, could be a option and vet said it was ok to x
Re: May I please have somd advice
Yes Sooz love he has but we are taking Snuffie to the vet next week for his vaccination, so I will ask again and tell them how worried I am.

Re: May I please have somd advice
When Felix had mites it really was like dandruff. He had a jab of Ivermectin and it cleared up within a couple of weeks.
Hope he is better soon. xx

Re: May I please have somd advice
They don't call it 'walking dandruff' for no reason!
If they didn't take a skin scraping last time Jo I'd suggest getting it done, just in case, so they can check it under a microscope. x
