Just picked Thumper up

immediately after she had had a wee.

I turned her over and she had a strange looking thing on her toosh so I went to get a tissue to take it off. When I wiped it off, it was like a stringy, gooey substance.... kinda orangey in colour. Definitely not blood red.

I know her kidney function is ok because it was tested just a few weeks ago.

What the heck is this? Any ideas? Could it be anything to do with scent glands? Sorry if that's a stupid question

Scent glands produce a more waxy substance so I don't think they would be the culprits.

Could it be mucus stained with pigment from food?

Maybe.... I've never seen bunny mucus before. That I know of anyway

She seems fine, certainly more alert that yest anyway. She's sitting beside me grooming my dressing gown!

I'll maybe just keep a close eye on her....
