Chalky Wee
The boy's wee is a normal colour but has a chalky substance in it.
To much calcium?
What is this a sign of?

Re: Chalky Wee
I had this the other day Katie. I had a look in the toilet, as I do, and there was a white topping to some of the litter. I think it's too much calcium because I lowered the pairs kale intake and it went.

Re: Chalky Wee
My bunny had the same thing happened to her a couple times in the past. First time it happened I gave her a few cheerios as a treat and the second time she managed to find some under the table after my kids had their breakfast. Now I make sure she never finds any, she loves them and seems to know when we are having cheerios for breakfast.

Re: Chalky Wee
Sometimes they do pass a little bit of chalky wee every so often which is good as their body is getting rid of the excess calcium, it's when it's every day I'd worry.
Hope Daisy is ok xxxx
Kale is very high in calcium.

Hi DotDot
Yep Greens are calcium rich BUT as my vet said to me with Fudge, he has a sludgie bladder and bouts of cystitis, the water content required by the bladder outweighs the calcium as long as it isnt a frequent indulgence

Re: Chalky Wee
It's nothing to worry about Katie unless you are seeing it every day. Calcium metabolism is complicates in rabbits, and a chalky wee is effectively a calcium dump! It it continues, then I'd get him examined.
