strange noise while hopping

I've got Florence out for her daily runaround time, and while laying on the floor with her I've noticed she's making a weird noise while hopping. It sounds a bit like a mobile phone vibrating. When she's not moving she isn't making it. She's acting normal, doing binkies and bunny 500s and is eating etc fine, but its worried me slightly.

She is at vet anyway tomorrow for pre-spay check up but any idea what it could be? She's currently flopped out and isn't making it.

There's always something isn't there!

She's also now just thumped twice while looking at me, so I thought maybe she was asking to go back, she never thumps. I tried to pick her up and I got a loud grunt and more thumping!

I wonder if she's just in a foul mood about something!

Hmmmm, and she's now running around me in a big circle (I'm sat on the floor).

I don't know what her problem is tonight! I have asked her, but her response was digging the carpet.

Thumper makes a notice when she's excited, usually when she's running towards you or when you approach her and she's looking for treats. It sounds like a little piggies grunting. No not that really... it's such a hard sound to describe! But she is very vocal in this respect. I know when she's not right because she doesn't do it.

I've heard it referred to ask honking.

As far as I'm concerned, absolutely nothing to worry about. Thumper has done it for years and only when she's excited/trying to get your attention

Maybe she was just happy to be out playing with her mummy then! Awww its nice to be loved!

Thanks for the reassurance, I'd never hear it before and was worried she'd got the snuffles or something. Maybe the first lot of thumping was her saying "don't you dare put me back" as she looked straight at me when she done it.

Then maybe the running around me was preventing me getting up as she was having so much fun.

Tomorrow she'll hate me after I take her to the vet!

That's what is sounds like to me but having not heard her I can't be 100% sure.

I would just keep an eye on her just in case

I'm sure I have some recordings of thumper doing it on my hard drive... I'll need to see if I can post them here - then you can compare

Paris used to make a noise like that when she was happy. I'd describe it as a "vudvud"

It sounds to me as if Florence is well and truly in love with you and is letting you know and I think the thumping is because she is trying to be dominant over you, the running round you is a show of affection usually they do a little honking noise as well

Yea buttons does the 'honking' noise too when running! I kinda describe it as a snotty asthmatic! and the only time buttons thumps is when he wants attention or he doesn't want play time to end!!
