Maisie
Our beautiful Maisie left for the bridge on Saturday evening, Maisie came in to us 2.5 years ago with her two brothers, Walnut and Pringle, sadly Walnut passed away after 4 months. Maisie and Pringle lived together, neither were neutered and it appeared they were both hermaphodites
All three of the bunnies were terribly disabled, none of them could used their back legs and yet they had adapted and could scoot around at quite a speed, Maisie was the most severly disabled of the three of them, her legs were a tangled mess and she had a 4 inch prepuce, she had to be bathed every day to start with and then as she got better it was every 3-4 days, we consulted with two very experienced vets about her condition and she was referred to a rabbit specialist, all three said the same thing, there was nothing that could be done and to make her as comfortable as we could for the time she had left, all three predicted 3-6 months maximum, but Maisie you showed them, you stayed with us for 2.5 wonderful years
Maisie, you were a remarkable bunny and taught us such a lot, your disabilities never stopped from doing anything you wanted to do, you were very kind and gentle and you put up with so much treatment and medication and never once complained, you were so beautiful and we loved very, very much and still do, we miss you dreadfully, Pringle is lonely without you, I am so pleased we were asked to take care of you, every minute has been a pleasure, you were a joy and I am so happy we were part of your life
Binky free at the bridge darling Maisie, run free in the rich gree grass, all healed now and waiting for your darling Pringle, love you forever sweetheart, give a kiss to your brother Walnut and tell him we love him, sleep tight Maisie xxx
