Favourite hay? U/D Do you think this would be any good?
As mentioned before, thumper doesnt eat hay. I've tried loads before, but maybe I'm missing something.
She's only eating pellets now if they are soaked and mashed down. This it giving me cause for concern because she is only eating soft food, which is likely to lead to teeth troubles
She's not a dental bun but its concerning all the same.
Is there a hay out there they pretty much every bun loves?
There's no guarantee that she'll eat it, but I'm desperate and if it's a hit with most buns, I want to give it a go.
Is there anything you can think of? What's ur buns favourite?
She does love plantain and fresh grass, if that helps any
Ps, I do not care how much I have to pay for it!
Edit: Can I ask, please bear in mind that she's pushing 11 so I don't think we can go for any really 'weird' stuff that might upset her delicate tum

Re: Favourite hay? U/D Do you think this would be any good?
Oh how I wish I had a bun that would eat any hay!
Oat hay.... This is probably a stupid question but:
I bought oats to feed thumper but the vet said no, she's too old to risk a blockage that oats can cause (I understand that). Is there a risk of blockage with oat hay too??
Thanks for your feedback guys

I have no idea! It doesn't look or smell like oats, it's bright green and has thickish stems to it.
Why are bunnies so complicated!!

No. Oat hay doesn't carry the same risk. I also asked my vet about oat hay being good/bad as a regular food as oats were too high in ?phosphorus/ ?calcium (or some such reason they were bad to feed regularly) but oat hay is okay for feed frequently.

I'm sooooo stupid, why did I not think of eBay before!
Do you think this would be any good? Be honest, don't want to be feeding her anything questionable....

(I feel like a broken record)
It will be fine but it is cheaper from the hay experts.

Hahahahaha! You are not a broken record at all
I'm just a bit funny with online stuff, I try to have as few accounts as possible. (Trust issues much? ) Even the eBay account is my OH's
Thank you for the reassurance about the product

How do they deliver?Velvet.Tears wrote:The Hay Experts are reliable, I ordered from them a few weeks ago
Couriers can never find my work so I always need to collect from their bases I only buy stuff from eBay that's being delivered by royal mail

Posts crossed Cheryl
Right, I'll cut a deal I'll buy from eBay this one time and if she likes it, all future purchases will be made from the hay experts
That way I'll know the risk is worth it!!

If she likes it the Hay experts do an alfalfa king (i think) version in a big bag that works out quite economical.

And you don't have to be in. You can ask them to leave it somewhere and they do pass on the message.
Unlike Zooplus who ask if you want it left somewhere and the courier (parcel force) ignored that, and a note on the door so I had to collect it from the other side of town
