Rabbits and Christmas trees!
Ok, Me and the OH are going to get a christmas tree this weekend, and as this is my first christmas with a house rabbit i don't know how it will work with the rabbit!! Are pine trees dangerous to rabbits? should i try and fence it off to be safe? or should it be ok do you think?

Yes, try and fence it off (those play pens are good to curve around the tree) they will either nibble the tree or the lights - a dead cert!

Don't let them eat the tree as pine trees can dangerous to buns. Definitely make sure the light cables are well out of reach too. Also, your presents will get nibbled if you leave them there. It is just too interesting for a housebun!

Re: Rabbits and Christmas trees!
We have an artificial tree and for Daisy it was an adventure wonderland....all the prezzies were nibbled and everything on the lower branches was removed!
We made sure that lights were up high and luckily he didnt nibble the tree itself - I guess the presents were so much more exciting!

Re: Rabbits and Christmas trees!
I hadn't even thought about him nibbling all the presents!! I was just worrying do much about him eating the tree or lights!!
Thankfully we haven't thrown away our old tv stand so I think we will be putting it on that so it is raised up out of his way!!

Yes, that's what I meant about a play pen the tree. It worked pretty well last year. It's funny, that pic of Pud so reminds me of this festive photo of Barney

Re: Rabbits and Christmas trees!
yea I will buy one of them if the raising the tree up doesn't work! But my BF won't be happy with the idea of more fencing in the flat!! (hence why I am trying anything else first!!
Maysie I love your rabbit figurines under your tree!! and oh Pud!
