Why is nothing easy?/ UD with piggie pics
I finally managed to get the new piggie hutch set up today. I have made it as snuggly as possible. I have cut up the old hutches insulated layer and stapled it to the bottom of the hutch to give extra insulation. I painted the inside. I have put in one of those mini houses in the sleeping section so i can cover it with hay in the really cold weather and put extra insulation in the roof of that. The floor of the hutch and the house is covered with cusioned lino. It has a insulated cover and then I was putting on the hutch hugger - and it is too short! i bought it from the same company as the hutch and from their measurements I thought it would fit. I have emailed a complaint but cannot send it back at the moment because the piggies have had to move in and they need some sort of cover. As you can see from the picture it is just short enough to potentially drip into the inside at the front. Apologies no pics of the pigs in their new home as it poured down just as I got them in. But they look pretty pleased.

It look nice and cosy for them. A bit annoying about the cover but this is easily sorted, just get some black duct tape and a peice of clear plastic PVC tarp and tape it onto the bottom so it is longer. If you need some, let me know as I have spare off cuts from my aviaries and i an post you some.

Here they are in the hutch.
And their house within the hutch
And as you can see they have discovered they can sleep under the house as well as in it.

They look like they are loving it!! I was thinking on the pic of the house inside the hutch 'I bet they could get under there!' I just love the cheeky face as one emerges from underneath like Found my new bed, why would I want to sleep IN it when I can sleep under it!!
