Humum's scorecard.

I've been indoors with Humum today, so it's given me a chance to observe her behaviour and keep a bit of a score. This is how she has done so far:


Sniggering when I fell off the back of the sofa: -1

Checking I was ok and giving me a cuddle before sniggering: +1/2

Offering me a sliver of cooking apple then rolling around in hysterics at the faces I pulled after a tentative lick: -50

Thinking I am getting a bit bony again and deciding to free-feed me: +5

Giving me a little fuss and / or food every time she goes past: +10 (for the fuss) +500 (for the food)

Bringing me indoors to stay, possibly until spring: +5,000,000


I think she has done okay. As long as she doesn't forget my bedtime treat, I might keep her

You have trained her very well Sparky. I especially like the way you can pull all your fleshy bits in so she feels the need to give you lots of food. That is extremely impressive.

I must admit to having a little snigger at the thought of you slithering off the back of the couch. I hope that you did the 'looking in all directions in case anyone saw me' look!!!

You have got Humum so well trained is Rosie coming inside with you too?

I was quite safe from prying eyes, wedged between the back of the sofa and the radiator

She's allowed to visit in the evenings, but she's to stay outside with Dougal. Humum already has quite enough re-wallpapering to do

I wouldn't be too upset about her laughing at you, I always laugh at Buttons when he falls over washing!! It's a knee jerk reaction that us humans just cant control!!

I agree! Especially when they stand up on their hind legs and fall over backwards looking all embarassed!!

Ruffin, it sounds like he has that one licked already! As he has managed to con his humum into thinking he is on the point of starvation.

Icedancer, my Gloria used to do the falling over bit when she periscoped sometimes. She used to forget that she was a big boned girl and her centre of balance wasn't that of a normal rabbit! It certainly made for some good laughs and she ALWAYS emerged ruffled and embarrassed.

Had to laugh at Loll last night.
I put a 2nd draught excluder at the sitting room door (that's one each side) and at one point the door was open with one excluder left in place. Loll went to run through into the dining room and spotted the excluder at the very last second and did a jump like the famous Devon Loch in the Grand National. He just managed not to belly-flop but he did look daft and he was not at all appreciative of my laugh.

I need to learn your secrets! My Hu-man was displeased with all the work I did to remove a corner of the drywall in the living room/entry way. I worked so hard on it. It's the very first thing people will see when they come to visit me.

I did have to punish him. He won't be laying down on that sofa for some time now. He washed out the first marking so I had to redo it while he was at work and add some poo for emphasis.
