Faith is about the same still bright and alert but just not interested in food we are monitoring her weight and we just want to get her stronger for the vet's in case it is a dental problem and she will need an op, at the moment she is to weak and need's her strength building up

We have tried all sort's of foods and we are even trying grinding and chopping foods so it is easy for her to eat...but she's not interested. Mike made her a Smoothie yesterday out of cabbage,celery,carrot, mange tout, snap peas and herbs to see if she would take that....but no, she is still having her syringe feeds with a little Manuka honey mixed in sometimes and banana other times and baby food such as carrot and vegetables and she takes that.

Our vet is back on Wednesday and we hope to know more by then but at the moment she is still here and a little fighter.

I know you have tried lots of things already love but my babies (buns, hammies and guineas) love soft pear. I just thought it could be another thing to try.

Well Faith is trying to make us happy and has eaten a tiny bit of pear and has really enjoyed her syringe feed of Parsnip, Carrot and Apple baby food which Mike has just given her

Mike has changed his jumper to Faith's disgust as she does not like the smell of his clean jumper and let him know by scratting at him and giving him a nip which made him yelp. That tells me she is getting stronger so lets hope tomorrow not only see's a New Year starting but Faith making us all happy and eating a bit more

Faith has eaten quite well today not lots of food but more than usual, she had a little bit of fresh pear, a bit of carrot a tiny bit of cucumber and she just loved her baby feeds that Mike mixes with a little bit of Critical Care, these are them below and he mixes 1 teaspoon of the baby food with the CC.



If anyone is ever syringe feeding and find their bunny won't take the Critical Care or Recovery if you add a little bit of baby food to it they sometimes will take it better, I like the baby food above as it is 100% organic .

Humum says she might keep some of that baby food in stock. As long as Hu-nanny doesn't get all giddy if she spots it

I had to give a sick guinea pig that once. I was nearly sick! It was gross

There is nothing worse for making us ill than worry over a sick baby. I am glad she enjoyed her pear love;have you tried her with grapes? I know they shouldn;t have too many but under the circs, it maybe worth a true.

Me too Icedancer love, many a sick guinea pig and it is so traumatic.

Faith ate well yesterday and had took more syringe feeds than usual.

Today she has eaten a little bit ON HER OWN

It may not be a lot to some people but to us it's like winning the lottery I can't begin to tell you happy happy we were to see her eating by herself.

We think it is a dental problem and going back over some of the threads on Faith I have noticed that she had dental spurs on the 19th November so they have no doubt grown with her not eating we are ringing the vet tomorrow for an appointment to check her. We rang today but they are closed and I really need our vet to look at her as she is brilliant.
