Hope Fudges dental went ok.

Fudge is home and EATING!!!

We had a productive trip to the v.e.t Jo was on duty and it was the first real time she had treated Fudge. She admitted him and did the deed-she has rasped down his teeth and removed any traces of spurs, she also did his incisors which overlap. She says he does have some lose teeth but isn't worried. She also flushed his tear duct and it would appear the previous 'hard' blockage isn't actually tooth root BUT was infection and the insitu-baytril has cleared it up!

He still had a bit of a gassy tummy so he has had something to get that moving and the teeth have been sorted. I have to ring her on Thursday evening with an update and I need to get his weight back up but tongiht I have a totally differenct bunny for the best!

He can't have too many greens/veggies for next few days to sort out his tummy but have got some Ella's Kitchen nom-nom for him which he is eating quite nicely! Jo experienced his 'diva' side-before she did his procedure he was all sweet and snugglie but afterwards was "talk to my tail" Glad it isn't just me he does it too!

Totally relieved now-just need to get the eating sussed but I can now relax a little....

I had previously had my doubts about Jo but she has been absolutely fantastic this weekend!

Brilliant!! I'm so so glad!!

It's great to hear it wasn't a tooth root causing trouble and the infection has cleared up.

I love how she got to see his diva side! My two, especially Tigger are the most angelic bunnies at the vets, although last time despite Tigger trying to work her cute bunny charms the vet said 'ah, she's quite dominant isn't she?'

I missed all this Kelly, but I'm so glad to read that Fudge is still with us

" Your Mummy is most concerned because you are not eating very well Fudgy, I was the same as you to I didn't feel very well at all and wouldn't eat but Auntie Grace said to me one night that if I didn't eat for Mummy & Daddy Tucker I would not get strong and well and I would end up back at the vet's ( and I don't like it there) and so I started to eat and now I am feeling a lot better and stronger, so come come on Fudgy get nomming like me and you will feel a lot better "

Get noming fudge!!

Faith thank you little one! The motivational speech must have sunk in with Fudge! He is currently nomming some grated apple, grated brocoli stalk and some fruit puree (as the bribe!) I've also caught him nibbling hay!

Last night he did eat his excel pellets but only after they had been mixed in with his fruit puree!

He came in the bathroom with me tonight when I had a steamie shower as he sounds really gruntie and snortie from the tear duct stuff but after I had showered with minty gel the bathroom cleared my chest and he was much brighter-he did look away when Mummy wasn't in her clothes bless!

Please keep the vibes coming, I've got to work away Tuesday night and home Thursday evening so need to know he will be ok for his aunty Liz!

Glad he seems better

I think we may have finally got there!
Last night after the steam Fudge actually ate all his supper along with his empty food dish was a lovely formed 'puddle' of good size bunny poop!
I think he has even been nomming hay for me which he really not keen on!
Today he has had appful, fruitie puree and dandilion leaves-tongiht he has a little portion of greens and pellets. I actually feel more confident about being away two nights and less stressed. I am going to keep on with his metacam til I get home on Thursday night just to keep him comfortable.

If you could keep the vibes coming til Friday I would be really grateful-what a difference nearly two weeks makes....still waiting for a binky!

I came down to an empty food dish, well apart from the pellets he isn't keen on! But evidence of good hay eating. I've sorted out his 'pack up' for the nexxt 2 days when I am working away and sorted all his medicine etc..He wasn't too keen on Mummy cleaning his bedroom but it has to be done!

Suppose I better go pack Oh well it is much needed work that the business needs....
