With Heidi at Bobtails rabbit and guinea pig rescue, can you see why......



I'd love her and Mike said I could have her but we don't have space

and would I be wanting her for the wrong reasons

I dont think its a bad thing to want her, If I saw a lop like Peanut Butter in a rescue I would want him or her. Not be Peanut, but its the familiarity and something which makes you happy. Its like me wanting another cavalier doggie, i wouldnt be replacing Bonnie - i just love them.

The thing is they are eventually bonding Heidi with a male before rehoming, if we took her it's a long journey for her to travel and we are already trying to bond Rosie and Murphy back, we have Kenzo and Jess to bond yet and Gypsy and Parsley, hopefully one day Lucy Rose and Barry so I don't think it would be fair to Heidi when she has chance of being bonded quicker.

We have to think of somewhere to put her and we haven't anywhere at the moment and it's vet bills as well, we are spending more in vet bills than we are earning. So as much as I'd love her it wouldn't be fair to her or the buns we have that also need us but it doesn't stop me from being able to pay for a week's feed for her which I have been doing on ebay now a few times.

I was reading about 'Bud' a little Nethie on Bobtails website who was dumped in a box this was back in 2006 and I was crying but there was a happy ending, I spent most of last night reading things on Bobtails website and what a fantastic website and Rescue it is.
Here is the story about Bud and it's very sad but if you look on that same page you can see how he improved and eventually how handsome he was

Heidi won't be going anywhere until the possibility of court action against the people who treated her and a lot of other animals absolutely horrifically is decided. It might be worth asking the rescue to let you know when she does become available, as you might be in a position then to consider taking her. A bunny run from there would be easy enough - my Hunan lives near the rescue, and my other Hu-grandparents in Birmingham, so she could be got back to Blackburn in two shortish legs ready for you to collect

If everything did come together at the right time, it's meant to be isn't it?

Where is Bobtails? I could always do some of the bunny run if it's near me. I live very near one of the junctions of the M4, so would be easy enough to do.

I am afraid I daren't; look, it makes me seeth and hurt all at the same time. I can't get these things out of my head and could quite happily commit nurder when little ones are ill treated.
