My evening with the bunnies

I decided tonight I wanted a Dougal cuddle, but didn't know if he would cooperate. He let me pick him up straight away, and just sat on me on the sofa for ages, letting me have a lovely cuddle

He then decided to sit up on top of the sofa where Florence was, it's the first time I've seen him jump. when he jumped down, he put his two front paws on one of my hands and demanded to be tickled between his ears again when I stopped he looked up at me as if to say "more mummy".

Florence decided to then make a dash for freedom and was binkying around the living room When I got her back into the pen I let Dougal go back in with her, but he was out for a good 20 minutes just snuggling up to me. It was bliss

Since being back he keeps coming over to see me if I walk past the play pen. I'm taking that as a sign that he enjoyed it too. I didn't even get a thump when he went back in!

I am however covered in white fur so I'd better change my pjs before getting into bed

aww he loves his new Mummy

I think it's great that he has settled in so well, and seems so perfectly suited to being one of your family

We both like cuddles Hubby wouldn't give me one and Dougal obliged

He keeps looking at me now as if to ask for more. I wasn't even holding him that tightly, he could have easily got away if he wasn't enjoying it but he loved it. Good bunny

so relaxed and contented

How BUNDERFUL! I am so happy that he has warmed up to you. He's a perfect fit for your warren! I hope that when we get Thumper a wifey-bunn that she will settle in as well.

He's a darling. Everyday he gains in confidence a little bit. The fact he doesn't like jumping is really useful too as it means I don't have to worry about him scaling the play pen He is so chilled out, he is always happy flopping on the floor. He has a nice meal and then just flops out happily.

How someone was able to give him up I do not know. Yes he's a thumpy rabbit, but other than that he is delightful. He loves people, and Florence. He is also a big hay eaten It's mine and Florences gain though I suppose.

Isn;t it lovely when this happens? My Snuffie is very much his own bunny and will let me fuss him if he is in the mood. He really nudges my hand away when he has had enough and I am dismissed LOL!!
He sleeps on my bed at night and will cuddle up then, which is wonderful.

Dougal today has had a big cuddle from me and a big cuddle from hubby.

Hubby opened up their play pen so they had a bit more room and has flalen asleep, with his legs in their play pen. Dougal keeps going up to him and nudging him for cuddles He's also been putting his paws on the sofa next to him and staring.

Poor Dougal! He's deprived of cuddles.

Lovely isn't it! I cannot understand why two families gave Thumper up. Like you said: It's the old owner's loss!

I'm the same with Dougal. Last night he was sat on me enjoying a massive amount of fuss and I said to my hubby I just can't understand how he ended up in a rescue. He's adorable, and makes a perfect pet. Hubby said its just sad that some people don't see pets as something you have until it dies, some just see it as a short term thing. Its so sad, but he's happy now (I think) and its great having a cuddly bunny, Florence used to be until she hit teenage stage now she just wants to play!

I just can't even imagine giving a pet up.

Very true Katie, I feel so honoured when Snuffie nudges me.
