I just want to get the bunnies home. Purely for selfish reasons so I don't have to torture myself for two weeks Rolling Eyes

Does anyone know why I can't take them home until they are 8 weeks? Obviously they are away from Sacha now. I never thought to ask them.

Thanks.

I guess it is a case of the centre continuing to check health and general well being and wanting to make sure the sexing is right etc. Give them a chance as well to settle without mum being around. To be taken away from mum to a completely alien place all in one go would be super scary (and I suspect bloat inducing) in a small bun.

That's usually the the age that babies can be rehomed. I can't understand if the babies are not with their Mother why you can't have them now scratch

they may be waiting for them to reach a certain weight, i know some wont let baby buns go until they reach a stable weight. It probably just to make sure that they are in good heath before they come to you Smile

Do they home check? Between your and Nickie I haven't heard you say you've been home checked.

There's been absolutely no mention of it. I asked the girl yesterday if they'd be happy to let me pick them up in one carrier and she said yes, with no mention of a home check.

No they don't do homechecks, but they do have a form that they ask you to fill in which asks about the accommodation, your previous pet history and prompts you about vets, insurance etc.

I wasn't home-checked when I got Wolfie or Gloria.

I promptly left all my papers there on Sunday too. I emailed the centre and they found them on the desk after I went. Must have been when I was asked back when they had a mix-up with the receipts. They are posting them out to me. Embarassed

I am slightly surprised by the lack of home checks. I know that they cover a huge area but how do they know people haven't lied on the forms?

It's easy done. I'll probably remember the paperwork and forget the buns Wink Laughing

Glad they're sending them out to you Smile

I'll admit, I didn't realise the importance of the form and was a bit sketchy with my answers.

Question: What accommodation do you have for the pet? Answer: My house. My garden
