peed on the clean, brand new vet bed that has been in the cage for a whole 5 mins Mad

Will I need to change it again in the morning? I'm worried in case it attracts flies, but at the same time I think he's maybe putting his scent down so he might just pee on it again Sad

Help please Sad

i think its one of those if you wash it too much he is going to scent it more as it doesn't smell like him.

It's a tricky one! I'd keep an eye out for flies but I've not seen many as of yet in the house.

Might sound silly but have u tried Simply tablets? They are unfragranced and are for eczema sufferers i do my laundry in them and add fab conditioner but you could just wash the vet bed with the tablet alone so it would be clean but wouldn't have a scent and maybe that will help him stop

A few of our buns hate the vet bed and scrat at it, Grace will wee on vet bed but she is old and has arthritis and so doesn't always want to move far and so we have washable fleeces that are like fleecy one side and have like a nylon base on them that stops the wee going on the floor and then underneath that just to be on the safe side we have a puppy pad.

This is what I use to wash vet beds and fleeces http://www.astonishcleaners.com/show-news/new-astonish-laundry-hygiene-tablets/18/ (and it's not tested on animals)
