I think my date went well

I'd like to introduce you to my new girlfriend Layla. She was called Lesley at the rescue but we didn't like that name. She's a beautiful orange lop and just about the same age as me













If hudad gets a job next week after his interviews, I think they may be adopting some more buns

She was the second-longest term resident there, although she had only been there a couple of months. (The harley I liked, who has been there 11 months, was poorly and being cared for at the vets so we didn't see her.)

She is very friendly and very, very laid-back - she has been happily flopping until Jack goes and pokes her nose in her bum

It's such a lovely day that they are in a 3' x 2' pen in the yard until Jack remembers how to behave a little more like a gentleman. We're going to clean his indoor pen, de-smell it and move it to the other end of the living room for tonight.

It's going well, but some bonding vibes would be appreciated

(Don't tell Sparky, but there is a handsome young lad there I'm thinking of introducing her to - he goes in for neutering on Wednesday...)

Oh Layla you are a big gorgeous girl! Father Jack, you are a lucky man!

Jack has pulled a bit of fur out of her bum but he's also been grooming her a lot

She's not groomed him back yet so Humum might get a banananana when she goes shopping and smear a bit on his head. I really hope she grooms him then or Jack will not be impressed

She is such a chilled-out bunny, she just flops all the time and is completely unphased by humans although not too keen on being picked up. And, my god, she has not stopped eating She must have gone through half a bale of hay and she's not exactly skinny to start with. She seems to be in fabulous condition but as our vets are doing free bunny health checks this month, Humum will pop her in on Monday for a look over and claw clip.

Although it is still very sad that Mrs Doyle is no longer with us and still very raw, I think the Hu-parents are quite smitten with Layla, and convinced it was the right thing to do.
