Meet Boris, foster bun, who dodged the foxes whilst a stray
He was living as a stray for about 4/5 days in an area which has a high urban fox popluation. The people in the neighbourhood finally caught him but only had a hamster cage to keep him in. He's a big lad (I think a New Zealand White?) so was a bit cramped! I got a call to see if I could help so made room for him. ... he's now looking for a loving home ... neutered and vaccinated.
I'm fostering him on behalf of Sue's Rabbit Rescue in Dewsbury.
He loves hay, well he loves all food and gets very excited when food arrives. He hasn't lived in luxury in his previous home as his back legs are yellow but he appears to be in excellent health. His vaccination card gives his age as one year so I believe that's the vet (FHB's) best guess.
This is a video of him racing out to see what I've got when he hears me coming

Looks like red eyes to me.
Are his teeth ok? Just wondering about his wet chin.
He looks like a wise sort though - dignified.

No, pink. He has got really poor eyesight, he scans a lot and is very jumpy. There's nowt wrong with his hearing though, you never have to go looking for him - he's always there anticipating food

I've had no feedback on his teeth and he was neutered by FHB last week - she would have mentioned it if she had found anything. He eats a huge amount of hay each day as well. His chin does look tangly but he has a bowl - I wonder if he dips his chin in the bowl

Yeah, he's lucky alright. The lady who managed to catch him put posters up and *possibly* his previous owner contacted her. He was a breeder and the missing rabbit was his stud buck. However, even though he was told where the rabbit had gone, he's not made the effort to come and get him for over 3 weeks. Thank god. Let's just say his "career" is over now anyway

I'm glad the bunny is free from what was probably some very bad conditions. I hope he will find a wonderful forever home.

Oh what a gorgeous, and very lucky chap!
Those ears!
Lucky he had you to take him in.
At least now he wont be any use to the breeder and he wont want him back. Thank god.
