Enjoying time with rosie BUT
Rosie has been in the house since wednesday most of the time she is fine, sleeps happy in the crate, gets out for a time during the day and evening, she came running to me last night for a cuddle, I have never seen this side of her felt soooooooooo chuffed, she cuddled into my knee when I was kneeling on the floor (feet went to sleep tho lol) my only prob is she still widdles at least once a day near the rat cage, I have made a baricade to stop her but she still sometimes gets through it. Shes getting fed up tho I think, keeps nibbling the bars and started to bang her bowl about. I was thinking about putting her back outside in her hutch but its really cold today, I turned the livingroom heating down so it would be to much of a difference but worried it might still be to much of a drop can anyone advise me, shes just gettign to bored and cant leave her to run about the livingroom not always able to keep eye on her.

I think I kept Tigger in my room in a cage for 7 days. In the last 2 days she started really rattling the bars wanting to get out.

Its been since wednesday now, tried stopping her jumping but she keeps jumping onto the sofa to get to my knee, then the back of the sofa to play. I think thats only reason vet says keep her in so its kinda defeating the purpose really.

Like a prisoner rattling a bowl against the bars in a cell.
I'm afraid I can't give any advice regarding the weather and the heat, I think maybe over the next two days lower the heat slowly, then when she does go back out and if it is cold pop in a heat pad?

She may want to be a house bun! Having her take a cuddle to your knee is so sweet. Heat? We've had our A/C on now for almost a month! The weather is really crazy this Spring!

Re: Enjoying time with rosie BUT
She won't have moulted in the time she has been indoors, and I know you have made her hutch very snuggly and weather-proof so she should be ok to go back out.
Have you had a look at her wound? I'd just make sure it is nice and clean and healing well, and give her towels in the hutch to lay on.

Shes still in tonight, want to give her hutch a freshen up, so once been to dentist (if they will see me) will come back and make a start, then get her tucked in all cosey she has more room for her toys in the hutch I cant really leave them lying around the living room the dogs steal them. Her wound is nice and clean and healing well, she gets her stitches out on friday, they were checked last friday and vet was very happy with them, I have kept the crate clean and put a fresh towel in each night.
