Random bonding question
Ok so this is probably a stupid question and I'm sure I know the answer already, but here goes anyway...
I am planning on bonding Piper and Alfred this weekend ( I know, finally!!) I'm taking Friday off work so I have extra time and all that. The reason I've been waiting so long to bond them is that I was certain Piper would try to kill Alfred as she can be such a snot sometimes and is such a madam. Anyway, she is much calmer now the last few months than she had been so I feel safe enough trying to bond them together.
My question is this... I know you're supposed to bond them on neutral territory and all that but do you think it would do Alfred good to bond them in his territory? Maybe it'll give him a little bit of an edge if it's his territory and he can have a little bit of dominance edge over Piper? I know Piper will be the dominant one in the relationship, I'm just worried she might not have calmed down enough and is still going to hurt the little guy accidentally. I'm planning on them living where Piper lives now so I'm going to have to give it a super good scrub down and dis-infect the whole area like crazy.
Is this a really dumb idea?? Go ahead and tell me I'm stupid...

Re: Random bonding question
I would (and I'm not very experienced at bonding) still go for the neutral territory, even the quiet bunnies can surprise you.
Hopefully someone will be along to give some better advice soon!

Re: Random bonding question
i would defo say neutral. just been doing my 3. took them for a drive in a cat carrier first then into neutral territory - still had probs there so god knows what it would be like in non neutral territory! oh and the quietest most placid one has been doing the most chasing and biting!

Re: Random bonding question
Have to say I'd go for neutral territory, as even though she maybe dominant, it may actually make the bonding harder and longer. She may feel she needs to be 'extra' dominant to assert herself in his territory. Best of luck with it, it's so lovely seeing them paired up.

Re: Random bonding question
Im so lucky I never had to bond mine, within half an hour of meeting, mine were grooming each other, and eating the same food together!
Good luck anyway Rachel!
