Still struggling with Dudley.
It doesn't matter how gentle you are or how softly you speak to him he will no way let you touch him at all. If you gently touch him anywhere on his body he is off and runs up and down and get's stressed.
Mike can put his head in Dudleys hutch and Dudley will eventually come up to him and kiss him but put your hands in his hutch at all and he will attack you. Putting his food in he will growl and go for your hand, It's going to be a long job but he will have to learn as there will be times he will need to see a vet or need to be checked by us and will have to be handled.
Whatever has happened to him in the past he is not going to forget in a hurry Bless him.

Re: Still struggling with Dudley.
He's ended up in the perfect home I think many people would have been put off and he could have ended up ignored and left shut in or even back at the rescue.
Will he tolerate being in his pen with one of you present? Humum would put herself in a moderately confined space with him, then lose herself in a book so she was paying him no attention whatsoever and just let him become comfortable with that and potentially want to come and investigate (although it might take some time each day for weeks).
I'd send him a nose-rub but it might be a while before you can pass it on for me...

'Thank You Sparky'
We do spend a lot of time in his pen and he does come up to you to investigate and we will do that for hours and then we will gently touch him on his side or bottom and that's that he will just run away and not come near you again that session.

Good thing he has gone to you and not someone who wanted a 'cuddly' rabbit. At least he will be able to learn in time to trust you.

I really don't know what to suggest. I guess time and patience is all you have
