I rabbit proofed the garden.
Finally, I spent the afternoon with some chicken wire and rabbit proofed our garden. I'd always felt a bit overwhelemd by the task as we live on the back of the woods and our fences are full of holes where the badgers and foxes barge their way in.
Anyway, shredded my arms in the process but yesterday and today I let the trios out for a couple of hours of supervised gardentime and my word, did they enjoy it!
They have eaten a lot of my plants, but just to watch them doing bunny 500's and huge binkies everywhere is great. The children love watching them binky and join in. The rex trio are so good at going back, I'm training them all to go back home with a shake of the pellet tub, the rexes were running circles around my feet, tripping me up all the way back to the playhouse I figured if they always got a treat they won't mind going back, so I don't mind letting them out. Everytime I opened the patio door Boo would come running up to me to see if I had any treats, bless him
Had a bit of trouble getting Faline back in, if she isn't the first in, she loiters about and is very difficult to catch. She seemed to give up today though, and let me pick her up, so I gave her a cuddle for 5 mins which was lovely, such a privilige from Faline.
Anyway, just wanted to share how lovely it was to see my buns being all rabbity on the lawn, with buns, the more you invest in them, the more they give back to you.

A Faline cuddle
Payback for sorting Vince out the other day
I'm glad they enjoyed themselves, although I can't believe there are no piccies
We can't wait until our garden is finished properly and we can play on it. At the moment we have.... mud

That's what I was thinking she let me pick her up to after minimal 'chasing'. It was a lovely cuddle too, she is such a big beautiful soft and fluffy girl

Re: I rabbit proofed the garden.
Today the little so and so's have been eating all my flowers and scoffed all the herbs I was growing for them Still haven't done pictures, sorry! They will be out again tomorrow if it is dry again so I will take my camera out with me. It is such a joy to see them binky and run around, I don't care if they eat my flowers

Re: I rabbit proofed the garden.
You got a Faline Cuddle! Ahhhh she appreciated that waggy finger the other day after all!
There is nothing quite like watching them enjoying themselves, knowing they are happy and that you made that happen.
Bunny happiness = bunny mum happiness!

You are so right Katie love, I would do anything for my Snuffie and the others of course. I too love to see them eat, Snuffie gets such a vast variety and I wonder if that is why he has reached a good age. Obviously he doesn;t binky anymore, but I know he is happy and it is truly wonderful for we bunny mums.
