Scared of the fan....... Empty Scared of the fan.......

Post by wizbit Fri Jul 06, 2012 8:57 pm

For some reason, Alfie is scared witless when I put a fan on in their room. I am trying to desensitise him to it a bit at a time but it's really odd. I can't decide whether it's the noise he doesn't like or the sensation although he isn't bothered by a breeze outside Rolling Eyes

Oh bless him - I guess little and often with a treat afterwards might be worth a try - get him to associate it with nice things?

I know, it's odd isn't it. Bertie and Daisy are practically bomb proof whereas Alfie and Violet are much more nervous. I guess it could be because Alfie and Violet are still young.

I am taking it slowly with Alfie and as you say Katie giving him treats. He's so funny, he goes running into a cardboard box in his pen and hides.

Hi SJ, yes I will post some pics soon. He's currently madly dashing around the house like a total looney!!!! I hope you can meet him sometime as I know you will love him and he's got the same gentle nature that Oscar had.

Ceiling fans are used here Summer and Winter(the direction they turn is changed w/ the season to change the air flow pattern), anyway...Thumoer likes to watch the one in the Living Room when we have it on low. He may periscope up and then fall over. Guess he gets dizzy. Silly rabbit! Love

Love that would be so adorable to see, silly bun!

I can't make up my mind with Nibbler as to whether he likes fans. With some fans he's fine and enjoys the breeze, other fans are scary and he has to thump at. Suspect I've no idea why!
