Special Home Needed - Wildies
Hey all. Some of you may have followed this story ->
Click for Story
These guys are now fully grown and need a special type of home. One I am unable to provide. They have a lot of wild characteristics, but are also tame. They need to be able to live in a large enclose which they cannot escape from, but in which they can exhibit their wild characteristics, whilst also have human contact. They are very affectionate and love fuss but can be nervy. I live in a small terrace with a back yard which is used by my Giant and her husbun. I do not have the space to create the type of set up these guys need.
We have 2 males and a female. All will be neutered, vaccinated against VHD and Myxi and chipped. Could you offer them a home?

I wish I could have them too!
I had someone enquire about Benji. She had a shed but no run, the buns roamed her garden - not suitable for Benji, but would be fantastic for semi wild buns, but she only wanted one as a pair for her bereaved bun.
Thats the sort of home they need isnt it x

Re: Special Home Needed - Wildies
In many ways it's a shame I already have buns, as I've just about convinced Phil to escape proof our garden for free-ranging and that would be perfect for these guys.
Re: Special Home Needed - Wildies
She emailed me back and said if she wasnt in the process of adopting a bun from the RSPCA down here she would have been very tempted, she said if for any reason it falls through she will be back in touch.
I havent forgotten the photo, will get on it asap its been manic here x

Whats a few more
Re: Special Home Needed - Wildies
The males have now been castrated and they have all had their VHD Myxi combo.
Re: Special Home Needed - Wildies
Charlotte can you PM me on facebook or here what you would like a picture to say, then we can all share it and make it go viral
I'm thinking something like "We are too domesticated to be wild, but too wild to live like other pet rabbits. We need space to be free but also protection from predators....can you help" and a reallllllly cute picture and then put at the bottom "These rabbits require ..........."

Re: Special Home Needed - Wildies
That lady got back in touch and she is interested as her adoption fell through, the RSPCA inspected two homes at once and didnt let her know so after her inspection she phoned up and they said he had already gone, I expect its a miss communication error, but she is interested. Now to drop the bomb they are so far away...
Would we be able to get them here?!

Yep all three together, but she lives 2.21 hrs away from Charlotte so it may not be possible we have to see about the logistics in getting them there, or if she would go up that far to get them. She was lovely in the email, she said she couldnt stop thinking about them and knew they would be hard to rehome.
She has an ideal set up, a playhouse with 24 hr access to her garden. A set up i said no to for Benji, because Benji likes his home comforts and human contact, and wouldnt like being outside 24/7. But it is a set up perfect for semi wild rabbits.
