I think it's getting bigger Sad No visible sign of parasites, skin and fur incredibly healthy. I'm not finding clumps of fur lying around as you might expect if Toffee was pulling chunks out, or in fact finding any more fur lying around than I ever have in all the time I've had him.

I'm puzzled. I'll probably have him back to the vet for a skin scraping, but neither myself nor the vet seem to think we'll find anything.

If it is behavioural, and Toffee is doing it, how do we stop it? I never see any evidence of her over grooming him or pulling fur out, even at feeding time when she is a little monster. I don't think it's a position that Ted could reach himself.

How odd. It's probably worth doing the skin scraping for peace of mind. I assume the skin still looks healthy, and it's not bothering him?

Yeah, everything looks 100% healthy. The only thing that's bothering him is me picking him up and checking him! Laughing

This is a puzzle. They can certainly over groom! Our Thumper grooms my Hubby's face and he has left it a bloody mess several times and hubby didn't even feel pain. Those teeth were razor sharp! I think a trip to the vet is in order and get a skin scraping just to be sure.

It may be getting bigger.

It's amazing how well it is covered by his fluffy hair though!

Is there something he likes to rub against like a cat will do? That looks like it has been rubbed(or shaved close with bunny teeth). I hope you find the cause soon so he won't need a hare transplant. Wink

Is he moulting at all Sue as they can get bald patches when they go through a full moult and it grows back in a couple of weeks.

I hope is just a heavy molt! He may be grooming more to help eliminate the loose hair.
