Spraying in anger
I know some of our buns do this, but is it really common? He doesn't mark by spraying.
Thumper was miffed with Hubby and
sprayed his face today. Hubby said there was no odor and it was cool not warm like when
he has peed on him by accident.
Hubby finally deduced that he hadn't yet washed Thumper's blanket that goes on top of his
cage. It holds his litter box and other than that he just loves to perch there. It's right under
one of the A/C vents and i think that is why he likes it. Usually though he prefers the
ceramic tile. Oh! That brat! He just pulled a chunk of drywall off the corner!

Re: Spraying in anger
I've never been sprayed directly, but once did get in the way of Hermione spraying Easter, and I picked up Boo who had just been freshly sprayed(I didn't realsie until it was too late). Interestingly, Hermione sprayed the other week shortly after having a fight with Easter whilst free ranging. I think it was the smell of an unspayed Tilly that set her off.
I'm not sure they spray in anger, I think it is more territorial and hierachy based.

Re: Spraying in anger
Hubby draped his blanket back over the cage and he walked all around it inspecting it.
Gave a lot of good chin rubs. 'Straightened' it to his satisfaction. Climbed on top and
did his 'dead bunny' in blissfull comfort. It's a thick velulux blanket and so incredibly
soft. It WAS on our bed...but he chewed a hole in it.

Re: Spraying in anger
Thumper sprayed Hubby again and is leaving several of his poos outside my bedroom door and in areas we sit. We found out what we think the reason is. We have a mouse! That explains the odd occasional thump and the territoriality being shown. He keeps chinning everything. He's 'owning' us.
