Roo's tube

The weather has delayed progress on the big build once again

The pairs in the hutch in the driveway had not been getting a lot of outdoor time and Rosie in particular was getting a bit fed up (and porky), so the hu-parents decided they needed to give both pairs some outside access.

Hudad divided the outside space with a board, and put a temporary board in Reggie and Taffy's hutch door with a cat-flap in:

They can now come and go as they please.


Rosie and Dougal's hutch, being upstairs, was a bit more tricky. Hudad put a hole in the side and stuck one end of Long Snakey in.






and used a couple of supports to bring it down to ground level:




and ran it across the drive into a pen behind the house:


so Roo and Dougal now have a run about 5 feet wide x about 16 feet long.

Humum was impressed that they understood the tunnel straight away, and were off down it no problem. In fact Roo will now launch herself into it at full speed from the far end of the hutch

And you should see the look on Reggie's face when a bun goes through the tube in her territory

I won't say which silly bun pulled the hose out of the divider panel and decided to go in to play with Dougal
