Surprise favourite toys Empty Surprise favourite toys

Post by Guest Sun Sep 16, 2012 10:24 pm

As I find myself putting the catty pillar back together again and find myself noting his already shabby condition I also find myself musing on how surprised that he has been a favourite toy. When he arrived all shiny and smooth I thought he would just be ignored but he obviously gets a good thrashing on a daily basis. Which made me wonder what toys everyone else's buns have -planned or unplanned - that have become surprise favourites.

Hector doesn't like any of his rabbit toys, he likes cardboard tubes, and throwing around the ice cream box I use for his hay

Dolly really likes that wobbly mouse toy that i uploaded a video of, with or without food, i hear her tossing it around outside quite regularly. Those childrens fabric play cubes have also been a success. I bought them thinking the holes in them would make them good hidey places, but when they arrived they were tiny. They still love to throw them around though and they now look a little worse for wear!

Most of ours love their yogurt pots they throw them about and play with them a lot and I notice a lot of the boarding buns do as well and I have before today sent them home with their yougurt pots as they liked them so much Laughing Laughing

I think Mike sent some home with (Vegan_bunny's) Xena and Fiver on Sunday Smile

We have dozens of toys and ignore most of them Embarassed

We love the pop-up cubes and have not destroyed them Shocked but use them for chilling out in rather than playing with.

The corn rattle roller things go down a treat (and up Laughing ) - we love throwing those around. Also a thing that is a few wooden bunny shapes on a bit of rope and another one which is two wooden blocks either end of a bit of rope. The outdoor buns like their balls with bells in (which surprised Humum - she thought they would just freak out) but none of us indoor buns are allowed them Sad

That's why I want one. It's exhausting running around the pen very noisily at 5am when I am ready for my breakfast Laughing

Willow doesn't fuss over wooden chewy type balls. Or balls with bells in! The general rule of thumb is that if it's not edible she doesn't care - and even if it is it sometimes doesn't meet "her standards" Laughing

A real unexpected one though has been her "Veggie Patch". It's like the little block made from grasses/sisal etc, and it has three little holes with removable carrots and corn. She loves pulling those out, tossing them around, shredding them up and then destroying the block itself. Might give the bigger (and more expensive!) "Veggie Tree" a go next - see what she thinks of that one!

Vince and the girls like a little plastic stool that came with a drum kit DH bought for the kids (what the * he was thinking buying them a drum kit I don't know No ) The buns like to stick their heads under it and toss it into the air Laughing Hazel likes plastic clothes pegs scratch

The rex trio like the rope thing with a wooden cube at each end too and they all like apple tree branches to demolish.

Tilly has a jingly ball but seems to get annoyed with me if I roll it for her. She looks kinda angry and charges at me instead of the ball Shocked

Most of all they like to play with each other Smile
