Hello from a newbe :)
Hi
I'm new here and I'd really like to get to know all the lovely people here at HH .
I have 13 adorable pets that I love to bits.
They are...
1 dog,
1 hamster,
2 bun buns .
2 gerbils,
3 guinea pigs
and 4 degus.
I have just done this to introduce myself to everyone here and also of course to say a Big hello .

Re: Hello from a newbe :)
Hi everyone .
Thanks for all the welcomes .
Right I'll get started on telling you guys about my pets .
My first pet was my dog lily she's now a nine year old fluffy jack russell terrier [I'll send a picture of her later when I find a cute pic .]
My second pet is my guinea pigs who I got from a local pet shop,I have had them now for two and a half years and I love them to bits.
Heres a picture of them.
Rex is the grey one with long hair,Finley is the brown and black one and Chester is the one with white, brown and dark brown one .
heres my hamster,Colin .
Sid my white gerbil .
And Gordon my black gerbil,he lives with Sid .
My degus.Barney,Dusty,Digger and rocky .
Jenna my lovely tan bunny .
And Jason my beautiful black bun .
Right sorry this is very long winded.
Right the story of Jenna my Tan bun .
One day we walked into our local pet store for some guinea pig food and we looked over at the adoption part and saw Jenna sitting there looking at us,
It was love at first sight and we couldn't leave her so we took her home .
After a couple of weeks we thought it would be nice of her to have a friend .
A couple of days later we saw Jason and thought he was lovely so we got him .
a few weeks later we paired him with Jenna .
They now love each other and do everything together .
Before we had Jason he had a horrible life .
His past owners put him in a cardboard box and left him in the rain and cold outside a pet shop.
It makes me so angry when people do such a horrible thing to a lovable, beautiful animal .
But now we have him and he's safe .
On youtube there's lots of bunny videos I saw a few of them had happy hoppers on it,that's how I found this site .
Anything you'd like to ask me please do .
P'S love the pictures of your buns .

Re: Hello from a newbe :)
Hiya and welcome to our really friendly forum I love the photos of your pets, those piggies are very cute Your Jenna looks a lot like my Herbie (my newest bunny).
I am facinated by Degu, what exactly are they?I've seen them in pet stores ad garden centres but don't know much about them. I had gerbils, rats, mice and hamsters when I was younger, are they like those?

Re: Hello from a newbe :)
Hi there and welcome to HH
We are a really friendly bunch and it is so reassuring to be able to talk to other people about your buns, especially when you are worried about something. There is usually someone who can help or at least 'hold' your hand.
Your pets are all gorgeous and I can so understand why you adopted the buns - they are just beautiful.

Re: Hello from a newbe :)
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments about my pets .
I'm really lucky to have them and all of your animals are gorgeous too .
Degus look a lot like gerbils but their diet is really different to most small animals.
Also they are quite hard to look after as they need a lot of space, but their
lovely little guys and they always bring a smile to my face when I watch their antics .
If you'd like to know more please just ask .
Manythanks again for your lovely welcome and comments .
P'S if you'd like more pics i'll put some more on .
