24 Years Today I had to say Goodbye to you.

I remember it as if it were yesterday as I stood with you waiting for the vet to arrive, it was about 8:00 pm at night and people were shouting and letting fireworks off and having fun and I was telling you how much I loved you and giving you kisses and big cuddles and about 6 packets of polo mints, it was our last few moments together till the vet arrived and the saddest moment's I have ever gone through in my life.
For 7 days a week, 12 months of the year for 22 years we had been constant companions, you stole my friends box of chocolates one Christmas and ate them all , you took my stable hat off my head and dropped it into your water bucket and you were forever nipping my bottom , you would sulk if I walked on to the stable yard and make a fuss of another horse before I got to you, and I slept beside you all night under a blanket when you were poorly and you kept me warm. You saved my life when another horse charged at me by chasing it away and you were so protective of me when I walked beside you in the fields.
They were the best days of my life and I will never ever forget you as long as I live.

She was a gorgeous girl, i love that song, but i cant listen to it as it will make me cry. I miss Jerry every day, so can only imagine what it is like to miss a horse that was a big part of your life for so long

he was my life,my friend,my hole world all taken away from me in one night,
I'll never forget him and I'm sure It's the same for you.
