YAY! I'm here!
So...I forgot the site went live today. But I had to do something with the police so it's little wonder I forgot. Anyways here I am. Mummy to Charm and Destiny the buns as well as Skittles and Dandylion the piggies.

No more worrying about posting in case someone attacks you. No more wondering if the attacker is going to even be told off. I am so glad to be here.

Re: YAY! I'm here!
Hi there
Nice to see you here. I've been glued to my laptop since 5.00 pm Just managed to drag myself away for five minutes to nip to the loo and wash my hair
How's Skittles doing? Did you try using tights?

Excuse me
Welcome to HH Debbie
Re: YAY! I'm here!
Well I got online at 8 when I started work, and then had a big to do where I had to call police and deal with stuff so I only just joined
Skittles is actually a lot better (Recap for everyone not becca: I got a rescue piggy called skittles after Acorah died, half a centermetre deep hole in her side I can put my thumb in if I tried. Managed to get it to scab over but only to have her scratch it and scream so terribly. Tried everything to stop her. Tights were suggested as they can't get them off.) I got paid late so my money only came in the bank today....kinda (I'm getting a cheque in the morning, but I borrowed off of my mum and got paid some in cash) so I hadn't been able to buy tights till this morning.
BUT it's looking like I may not need them afterall. She's not scratched since your last email (which I really need to reply to, sorry, I read things then forget to reply sometimes). It's actually beginning to heal quite nicely now.Although I think I'm still going to buy tights just in case (and to add to my medicine supplies). I'm assuming it's the thick cotton types?

Hi
No, just normal tights. In fact you could get knee highs as you're going to cut them up anyway so they might be cheaper (not bought any for years so don't know how much they are). Sweet Pea looked rather fetching in her nearly black 12 denier pair
Glad she's doing well.

Re: YAY! I'm here!
hehe will knee high socks work? I have a few pairs I've worn out the feet to but the legs are still ok ^_^
I was in sainsburies this morning. So I have an idea. Something like £5 for five pairs of tights, £3 for 5 pairs of knee highs
I'm so glad she's stopped that horrible heartbreaking noise. Although she does scream out of fright when I touch her I think she's giving herself a sore throat she sounds horse. She's still scared but she's beginning to trust me, except she's not daft and knows when I want to see her wound

They would be fine - and wouldn't cost you anything Just cut the feet off and keep the length fairly long-ish - you can bunch it up round Skittles - not too much or she might have trouble moving
That noise is awful isn't it - when I had to bring Diddy in the house when he lost Basil last year and he was living in the kitchen (well he's still living in the kitchen with Barney at the moment) I'd lie in bed hearing him scream and couldn't do anything, and when Sweet Pea had her skin problem she was living in the spare bedroom so it was even closer. I used to get woken in the night by it.

Re: YAY! I'm here!
Well my living room is about 20? steps from my bed? another five to the edge of her cage so I hear it ever so clearly. And I don't believe in closing doors unless I'm out or I don't want someone to go in a certain room. Absolutely heartbreaking. I can't believe how something so little can cut right into your heart with just one sound. Poor baby. Thank god she's stopped. She's stil veryvocal when I go near her to inspect though, but not the same noise that cuts through me. More of a please don't hurt me rather than a DEAR GOD THAT HURTS AND I'M GOING TO DIE OF PAIN IN ONE SECOND UNLESS YOU HELP ME MUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So now mymain concern is her voice. She sounds so horse. Her cut is healing and she's not scratching so I can worry about her darling little throat.

Re: YAY! I'm here!
Poor little sweet. Shame you can't give her something to soothe her throat but I suppose it just needs a bit of time to recover.
I miss having guinea pigs in the spare room - I used to love hearing them talking to each other when I was in bed. It's such a lovely sound.

Re: YAY! I'm here!
I'm thinking I'm going to have to get her a check up either this month or next as the poor wee thing has been through so much. But the rescue I got her from says that she was only taken to the vets a few days before I got her. So there's no real rush. It's more to put my mind at ease than because she needs it
I love guinea pig noises. As much as I'm a bunny girl bunnies are really quiet! I'd be a little stir crazy without the delightful wheek wheek wheek puuuuurrrrrr comming from the corner or my lap or wherever my babies are playing I don't do quiet

Re: YAY! I'm here!
hello!
Brunei is in S.E. Asia on the island of Borneo (two very small little areas to the North of the island). I didn't have a clue and had to do some thorough research on it
I just about know where i am now. It's great but the time difference means I am asleep when it is all kicking off on here lol
Have a nice lunch. I have men around fixing the air con units so can't have my brekkie yet. and i need more sleep lol

Oooh cool. I know where Borneo is ^_^ Kinda. Enough to have an idea where you are
You and me both. I never know what's going off on UK forums. Makes me sad because it took me forever to FIND UK forums then I got a full time night job and turned completely nocturnal now it's exactly the same as before. Completely lost. But at least I can meet some of the people on here
I had a pasta bake, but it had onions in it and I hate onions so it made me feel ill. Now I'm wondering if I should have spaghetti carbonara, pudding or just munch chocolate
