Stray Bunster !!- U/D Claimed
Had a knock on the door today asking if I could take in a Bun found hopping about a road near me.
He appears to be in good health, although I think he needs a Dental as he has a wet mouth. He is obviously used to people as he is quite calm.
If he is not claimed within 7 days I will get him neutered and vaccinated and he will then be up for adoption. Here he is

He is lovely!!! And he has certainly landed on his feet, ending up near your house. Do people know locally that you're a "bunny person" then??

Re: Stray Bunster !!- U/D Claimed
I do seem to be known as 'that strange woman who lives with lots of Rabbits'..............
I honestly think his owners must be beside themself with worry as he is well cared for..... clean, trimmed nails and friendly. Unfortunately there are some less than 'nice' kids around here and I would not be surprised if some of them broke into a garden a let this Bun out.
I have flea/mite treated him as I dont know his Myxo vaccination status. He wont touch hay but has eaten some SS pellets and a small amount of grass.
I really hope his owners get in touch.......

His owner, or rather his owners Mother has just collected him.
He has lived loose in their back garden for 2 years. In all that time he has NEVER been picked up............
He Never gets hay, he has never been vaccinated, he get rubbish muesli mix.
His name is 'Snowy'...........
I tried mentioning vaccination, the Urban Fox problem, his diet and possible Dental problems. It fell on deaf ears...........

Ummm...so sort of good news and not-so-good news then. At least if he's loose in the garden he's probably getting a reasonably natural diet, even if it is supplemented with a muesli mix!

Re: Stray Bunster !!- U/D Claimed
there's quite a big hearing problem out there Jane I hope he's given cuddles and company, at least he'll be back with his owner and poss. partner. I don't get why you wouldn't want to know more about your animal's welfare...don't make sense to me
Re: Stray Bunster !!- U/D Claimed

Re: Stray Bunster !!- U/D Claimed
Oh dear. I'm glad he found his home but what a shame that they weren't willing to listen.
As Jay said - why wouldn't you want to know more about your pet and try to do the best for them.
We are all learning, all the time. Keeping pets is a massive learning curve and it really is "something new every day".
I hope what you told them sinks in Jane

Oh dear
I suppose it could be worse, at least he's not stuck in a tiny hutch at the end of a garden somewhere.
Shame they didn't want to listen. I find that alot when i talk to people who have got bunnies for their kids. I try to offer advice but they really aren't interested Very sad.
