A Year Ago Today... Empty A Year Ago Today...

Post by icedancer Fri Dec 21, 2012 12:48 pm

Dougal got neutered by the rescue. The poor boy was "found" by someone who took him in, along with a black female very similar to Florence. They claimed they found them, but the rescue doubts their story.

I've been giving him loves of strokes today, he is lucky that he wasn't in the rescue for long, but this time last year he must have been so frightened. He is a nervous boy at times, and he probably wondered what was going on.

A year down the line I bet he's laughing inside with what his world is like now compared to then, well I hope so anyway. I keep wondering if his old owners are thinking about him, and whether he misses them. It's funny to think this time last year I had one bunny, I can barely remember only having Florence.

Bless him, it does seem so right that he has ended up with you and Florence Love

Humum wonders about our rescue buns at times. Poppy was so horribly neglected and thin when she came that Humum doesn't think she would be alive now if she had not been handed into the rescue with her days-old kits Sad Layla, on the other hand, is such a people bun that Humum wonders if she was actually a much-loved pet who got lost (but then thinks that if that happened here she would move heaven and earth to make sure she was found again).

Rescue buns are definitely 'special' - all of ours definitely seem to appreciate the lives they have with us Smile

There is something very special about rescue bunnies. Seeing them flourish, is the most amazing thing.

Charlie and Annie were dumped as far as I know - Charlie is soooo clever, but a really nervous boy I often wonder what happened to them. Their past owners loss though is my gain though, because they are missing out on something wonderful.

It's the same for Dougal xxxx

31st January he came to live with us. It's scary how quickly it's come around. It was mid January that I met him, I can't remember the date of that sadly.

He's going to have a big party on his Gotcha Day Very Happy

Lucky Dougal Love

I never quite understood this feeling until I got my Mojo. He has blossomed into such a healthy little chap and every day he grows in confidence. It's lovely to see.
