Mr Mojo is...
just so fluffy - it is unbelievable. I have NEVER, ever seen a rabbit with as much hair as him. I have no doubt there is Angora in him now...
If you look closely at this picture you can see it in him (not the best quality):
It is beautiful, soft hair and he looks so lovely but it is becoming a lot to manage.
I have trimmed his bum short now as he was really matting up there, but last night I found a matt in his beard getting quite tight. I knew I had to get it out because I've read they can actually strangle themselves on matts in the neck area, but it was awful. The poor little mite was so distressed, I had to corner him and brush through it then cut all the dead hair away - the whole time he was digging, biting, panting and just trying to break free. I felt terrible
He is such a nervous bunny anyway I just don't know if I can keep doing this to him. I have no issues with the grooming but he seems to matt so easily, despite me grooming him every day thoroughly, and it is so difficult to de-matt him because he hates being handled.
We had a Peruvian guinea pig like him and in the end we just kept his hair short - I don't know whether to do this with Mojo. He has such a beautiful coat but I don't want to stress him out like I am at the moment trying to maintain it...

Definitely Rob!
He is so gorgeous and the last thing I want to do is take away all his lovely coat
I have got him to periscope up and eat veg in that position so I can do under his chin now

Re: Mr Mojo is...
Oh hunni , you need to remember that you are doing I for his own good, and that it is still early days so he is still going to be a bit frightened. Things will get easier though, he is a vey lucky boy to have you. Xx

Re: Mr Mojo is...
Thanks Katie
I just wish we could make them realise it's to help them! I am so worried about taking one step forward and two steps back with him, as that's how he seems to be

Re: Mr Mojo is...
He is gorgeous love and I know what you mean. Binky Boo is half lionhead and really doesn't like being combed but as our friend Katy says, it is for their own good.

Re: Mr Mojo is...
We have matt problems with Angora Jess and she has one just under her neck which Mike has been trying to get off now for a week he has to do a little each night as Jess get's so worked up and her skin is so sensitive. Matts on the neck can strangle a bunny, Mike has got a couple off Jess and they have been so thick, she has a horrendous coat it's so very thick and matts really quickly.

Re: Mr Mojo is...
Mr. Mojo does have quite a lovely coat. Just remember you are doing it to help him. I cannot believe that Rory is able to maintain his mane as it is so incredibly thick but Mr. Mojo's isn't as thick but has SO much longer mane.
Does anyone know at what age their manes reach maximum development?

Re: Mr Mojo is...
I have only ever had semi long haired bunnies and none of them like being groomed. I am sorry it is such a nightmare and please let us know how you get on.
