Yes we have a few moulting yet again

I may get my head covered soon

We have it bad here in the East! There's a thick layer of ginger and white floof!

Earlier I was stroking Temperance and I could have sworn a bit more fluff came off than has done previously, I even said to her 'you had better not been moulting AGAIN madam!!'
Well I will take this thread as confirmation, better go empty out the vacuum in preparation

Does that indicate an early Spring? We are wondering how and if Sir Rory will molt as none of my bunnies has ever molted like it seems European buns do. Some never molted. I can't believe we kept them that well brushed.

my 2 are started to moult too but it is very mild even my fish in the pond have become very active and hungry which is very unusual for this time of the year normally i stop feeding them in January.

neither of my buns have ever moulted so far. wonder if it's because they are . pseudo- soldiers? does Florence mount?

Yes Florence moults. All her long guard hairs come out and she is left with big patches of short brown under hairs for ages until new grow through.

Layla moults a lot - we reckon she's just trying out different patterns to find one she likes.

Gizmo is grumpy, which could mean moulty.

Jack always looks the same

It has been unseasonably mild up here. We have 8 or 9 degrees at the moment - two years ago at this time it was minus 14

The minus 14 moved from Lancashire up here to North Yorkshire we us I think

Tell me about it - everything is trying to sprout in the garden at the moment. And I went for a walk this morning in just a jogging bottoms, a long sleeved t shirt and wellies. No coat or extra warm fleece required.

my bunnies had part of their ears shaved when they went to be neutered i guess for the heart machine , anyway that was weeks ago and its still bald does the fur on the ears grow back? just wondered as its a completely different texture to the hair on the body..

also when they moult they seem to lose their appetite???

Bruce's ear was shaved about 12 weeks ago now and it has not regrown yet. It does seem to be taking longer as he gets older, but I think they don't really grow new fur to order. I think you have to wait for a full body regrowth for it to fill back in. So the start of the moult does at least signal that he will get a full ear of hair again. I have forced him out onto the grass today to try and ward off the next dental.

i noticed Marley is starting to change colour again lol.

Charlie moults alot so no doubt I will get covered on next cuddle, other 2 only loose some from their back end.

Oh no - Willow can moult for all the bunnies in England, and then some! I'm sure Mojo will have a load to shed as well. Yay for the moult!

The moulting is all year long over here, I've gotten used to the nightmare!
