Dolly is 3 today!

I cant believe Ive had Dolly almost 3 years (today is her guestimated birthday!). She was so tiny and delicate looking in the pet shop, hence the name Dolly. She reminded me so much of Marley in some ways. I didnt understand why it was so bad to buy from pet shops at the time, every bunny needs a home, right? After a few months we discovered she had syphilis and had already passed it on to Marley. Syphilis is caused by a virus, common in poor breeding standards, typical of a back yard breeder. It was likely that it had been passed on to Dolly via her mother, and that many of her siblings may also have the disease. I could only imagine the disgusting place she came from, and whats worse, my money had funded their 'hobby', allowing them to breed and raise more sick animals in filthy conditions. I dont regret bringing Dolly home for one minute, but I would never get an animal from a pet shop ever again. She is a little terror, and is the best bunny friend Marley could ask for. The pair of them have taught me so much about what bunnies need, and they have taught me a lot about myself, right down to finding my vocation in life! I owe this little bunny and her husbun so much! I feel really bad this year, as i havent got her a card or any presents. This morning she dived from the top shelf of the pen into her water bowl and got water everywhere, im sure she did it in protest!! I might have to go onto Galens Garden or The Hay Experts and have a look for something. Ive been wanting some seeds to sow on the lawn where their run goes for spring/summer, i just cant justify the delivery costs sometimes.
