Faith 20-2-13
I certainly didn't think I would be writing a tribute for you Faith for Rainbow Bridge not yet sweetheart but here it is....
You came in to our lives on the 27th December 2011 when we got a phone call from an animal rescue who wanted some advice. We were told you had been found on a road with bad bite wounds which were infected and the rescue took you in and took you to a vet and your wounds were seen to but they didn't give much hope that you would survive but you did.
When your wounds all healed up you were spayed in mid December 2011 but you stopped eating and within 24 hours you were back at the vet's but you eventually started eating again but stopped on Christmas day and they had rang us as you was due to be pts if they couldn't get you to eat. Mike offered to collect you and syringe feed you round the clock and they agreed and he collected you and we put you in an indoor cage and Mike slept on the sofa beside you so he could syringe feed you every two hours, and he did day and night and gave you fluids and pain relief but you didn't seem to get much better. We had decided to keep you and we took you to our vet's and you had a dental check and she was shocked at what she saw. A spur on a back molar had grown so long it had grown over your tongue and had been like that for so long it had worn a deep groove in the side of your tongue. The reason you were not eating was because you couldn't and the vet said the only reason you were alive was due to Mike syringe feeding you day and night. You had a dental there and then and the nasty spur was removed and you started to eat again and we were so happy.
We always knew when that nasty spur came back as you would let us know by refusing to eat and a dental check always confirmed the spur was starting to grow and you would have a dental op to remove it.
On the 19th February you stopped eating again and so on the 20th February you went to see the vet for a dental check and yes that nasty spur was growing again and you were admitted straight away and you had your dental op and you came round ok and then you had a massive heart attack and died and although our vet tried everything to revive you we sadly lost you.
When we got that phone call Faith to say you had gone we just couldn't believe it, it was only a few hours before that you had gone out the door in your pet carrier as bright as a button and now you were gone and our hearts were broken, we just stood in the kitchen hugging each other and we sobbed as we loved you so much as we love all our bunnies.
You were meant to stop with us a lot longer Faith, you were meant to be spoilt and loved and cared for a lot longer than you were and your loss has left a big hole in our heart's and a sadness in our lives at this present time that we are trying to cope with.
Thank you so much Faith for loving and trusting us so much and being a wonderful and gentle part of our bunny Family. Smiling is hard to do at the moment without you and at times we feel we will never smile again but we will when we remember all the little things about you and why we loved you so much.
Faith you were so loved and we will remain loving you forever and ever and to the moon and back.

Re: Faith 20-2-13
From Dee ( Woodwench) for Faith
HAVE FAITH
A tiny light burns brightly...
flickering in the night,
dancing across the shadows...
a gentle, gladdening sight.
A tiny voice calls sweetly...
a joyous, rippling call,
softening the pall of darkness...
the cascading echoes fall.
A tiny heart beats gladly...
unafraid in the friendly night,
there's a familiar welcome waiting...
where the tiny light burns bright.
A tiny light burns brightly...
a tiny voice calls sweet...
a tiny heart beats gladly...
There's gladness...
there's joy...
there's a welcome in the night.
A little one has journeyed
warm in the love you gave.
HAVE FAITH... one day you'll find her...
The light will be burning bright,
the voice will call you sweetly...
your heart will gladly beat...
Have Faith.
( Thank You Dee )

Im so terribly sorry Maysie. I just can't believe she has gone, she was such a fighter, and like many of your buns, a little miracle. Binky free at the bridge little faith, say hello to my Davie and Skye. You're all sorely missed. Thinking of you both, Maysie.

Re: Faith 20-2-13
Look at the difference in you, Faith, from those early pictures to the latest ones. I remember when you first became a Tuckerbunny - you had so many people pulling for you to get better, sweetie. How much more cruel it seems to make it that you were in peak condition and so loved when you were taken.
I know you had terror, pain and discomfort in your early life. I also know you were safe, loved and cherished for the last 14 months, and I am sure you know that too.
Binky free at the Bridge - you are in excellent company there
Think of us and keep an eye on your Hu-parents

I am so very sorry love, we all know your pain and loss. I am afraid I could only read the first paragraph of the poem as lovely as it was, if I had read anymore I would be crying for ages.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
For some reason I missed her story of her joining you, all the more heartbreaking the circumstances of the way you lost her.

We can't we keep thinking this time last week she was safely snuggled in her indoor cage getting all excited when I put her dish of greens in and she would give Mike his kisses every day and now her indoor cage has been scrubbed and disinfected and is stood in the hallway ready to be put up in the attic, her toys I have shared with the other girl's and Pepsi is now in his indoor cage where Faith's use to be and sometimes when I pass I think I see her looking back at me but it's Pepsi, and there is this sadness about the place it just feels miserable, I miss looking at her beautiful face and I know Mike misses his cuddles with her. It's just not fair

Re: Faith 20-2-13
It was totally unfair, Maysie, you are so right.
After all Faith had been through and all of the hard work you put into turning her life around, for her to be taken from you still is just not right in any way at all.
But you gave Faith all she would have ever wanted and more. You showed her what it was to be loved and happy, and she will always remember that you and Mike did that for her. She is watching you, Mike and all of the other Tuckerbunnies from that warren in the sky now, and she is happy and pain free once more xxxx
Binky free, Faith. You were much loved and will never, ever be forgotten
Sending a million hugs and vibes to you and Mike
