Dandruff/Dry skin UD Had Injection
Dolly is moulting heavily at the moment. I gave her a good brush just now and got loads of hair off her. I noticed she has dry/flaky skin on her ears, and then noticed it in her coat when i looked closer. I checked her ears for any debris that might have been from ear mites, and also ran my hand against her coat to check her skin for anything. I cant see anything to suggest mites or fleas and her coat is clean too, she just seems to be quite scurfy. Any advice? Is there anything i can put on her to help her skin or should i leave it or see the vet? The vet would give her xeno i think, but i really dont think she has mites or anything like that. I took several pictures of her ears, but i couldnt get the camera to focus properly. This is the best one, but you really cant see it properly.

Yea I had to treat both C&A ... I think it was three treatments 10 days apart ( that might be two weeks apart can't remember)

I had to treat both of my guinea pigs recently when only one had symptoms. Her coat was quite scurfy and horrible, too.
They were treated in two treatments, two weeks apart

Re: Dandruff/Dry skin UD Had Injection
Sorry, i didnt update this!!
I phoned the vets on Monday, and they wanted to see her. She made a liar out of me, i couldnt see anything when i went home to collect her and take her to the vets
The vet said she doubts that its mites, but is going to give her an ivermectin injection anyway. She told me to go back in 2 weeks for another one if i thought it was still a problem. I asked on Facebook and was told that its a waste of time having the injection if i dont have both of them. Is this true? She seems absoloutley fine now, Im now wondering if i was just too rough with the brush last weekend

Cheeky little monkey! I'm always keeping an eye on mine.
Jeeves has had a single tiny dry skin flake before and nothing else. The vets have always looked at him and his coat has been fine so I think maybe they are prone to this sometimes. x

Mr Snuffles used to get flakey patches on his ears but the vet assured me it wasn't mites.
