Oh look at my house!
It is a complete mess, reminds me of the environmental health programmes that used to be on! We've been having new floors fitted but instead of finishing a room before starting on another one, I've had the whole of my downstairs turned upside down and had my rooms tipped out side and upstairs. I feel like the old boy Mr Trebus who used to be in the documentaries about environmental health, surrounded by boxes and rubbish. Don't get your floors replaced, your house will look like this! It's driving me nuts and I can't escape!

Bless you, you must be tearing your hair out
I'm bad enough when we are doing a bit of decorating! I keep trying to tidy up and OH gets annoyed with me

Looks like quite a chaos!! But the new floor looks great! I wish we had a floor like that, I enjoyed all the wooden floors and walls in Sweden. Our dirty old carpet is embarassing.

Re: Oh look at my house!
Yes I probably sound ungrateful and I don't mean to as I love what's been done, it's just every room is just piled high and it really is driving me mad. I can't find anything, my computer and printer is God knows where, I'm living off the laptop and everything is just buried! I will love it when it's clear again and I never realised I would feel so uptight about it, but I think when you can't get away from it and no room is clear, it feels really quite claustrophobic; not to mention not having any control over it. They are back on Thursday, so I'm really hoping that will be it done !

I know how you feel I get so frustrated with any mess, just think how nice it will be when it's done.

I've been trying to think about it, but the works been dragged out for weeks and I'm a bit frazzled now. Keep wondering if I'm slipping off the edge and I will become the mad woman who lost it over a messy house! I am praying Thursday will be the last day. They will only then have to come back to do the stair and landing carpet, which hopefully will be quick ( no rooms to empty! )

Oh, I don't know how you cope, I hate having the workpeople in, and alll that mess, if I could move out in future til it's done that would be best for me! Paul's trying to persuade me to have a new kitchen, and it's the mess that's making me not want to go ahead with it...serious, I'm quite happy with the one we've got for a while! Hope it doesn't take too long to sort
Re: Oh look at my house!
The new floors look wonderful.
I do feel for you having recently had a joiner and decorator in the house
Hang in there - it will be worth it!
