Gabriel attacked the wildie.
The wildie situation is becoming a real problem now
I was up in the top shed earlier cleaning out BJ and Rosie whilst Spring and Gabe were out on the grass in their run. When I looked round the wildie had appeared and was bouncing around their run with it's tail up. Gabe was incensed and before I could move to shoo wildie away Gabe caught hold of the wildie through the bars by it's nose. It reared up with Gabe still attached and they kicked at each other before he let go
I shot down the garden, wildie scarpered and I picked up Gabriel. It looks like the wildie may have caught his nose in return but has not broken the skin. Gabe was in a bit of a state his breathing and heart rate were going twenty to the dozen and it took a while in my arms for him to calm down.
Gabe and Spring love being on the grass - they have a Runaround tunnel attaching their wendy house/run to the run on the grass but it seems it is no longer safe for them if one of us is not out in the garden whilst they are on the grass. The wildie can no longer get to BJ and Rosie in their run/shed and has lost interest in Hollie and Herbie. The size of the mesh on Gabe's wendy house run is small enough that they can't bite each other through it but the runs on the grass are a problem.
I may be absent for a while googling prices for weld mesh and run panels

Re: Gabriel attacked the wildie.
oh gosh poor gabe! Could you not mesh round your garden border to stop them getting in?

Re: Gabriel attacked the wildie.
Not without great expense - our garden is not particularly deep but the side that adjoins the fields is very long and currently has post and rail fencing to only half it's length. The easiest solution will be to enclose Gabe's run within extra run panels so that they cannot get to each other.

Re: Gabriel attacked the wildie.
Oh dear - I hope both buns are ok
We bought a roll of weld mesh from eBay - 3' high x 100 foot roll for about £40. The holes are 1" x 1/2" so small enough to stop any bun bits from poking through.

Oh gosh
I hope both buns were okay, and you weren't too shaken up either. I really hope that little Wildie finds his own, wild friends soon

Re: Gabriel attacked the wildie.
Well, wildie has been back. Was sat in it's spot near the kitchen window at tea time. It does look a lonely bun sat there I am pretty sure it has a clump of fur missing from it's nose thanks to Gabriel. I do wish it would find some wildie friends soon.
I think I may have to start calling it Billie (as in no mates)
Gabriel is fine, tucked into his tea with gusto.
Thanks Sparky, will investigate the weld mesh on ebay.
