An apology to Molly and Junior
I'm sorry you only got broccoli for your tea.
I started preparing your cauliflower leaves but there were (at least) 3 dead flies in it
Yeek!!!!
Thanks, Asda!!!

Re: An apology to Molly and Junior
Only broccoli for tea!!!! You are likely to be punished for that, dead flies or no dead flies !
Its funny how we feel guilty for providing 4.9999 star service, rather than 5.... I get that a lot. I don't think I am forgiven for my current inability to provide Kale at the moment.

Our Humum would have washed the flies off and given us the cauli leaves anyway.
The kale shortage has hit the north-west too now

Re: An apology to Molly and Junior
A friend in Sussex managed to find kale in waitrose... Depending on how desperately you want it and how much you're willing to pay!
Re: An apology to Molly and Junior
I'm not that desperate ! I can put up with the "looks" a little longer ....

Junior might be up for it. Fussy Molly says "hmm... No thanks."Zo wrote:Hector had parsely, mint, lemon balm, and baby spinach for his dinner tonight, send them my way

Re: An apology to Molly and Junior
Oh dear it seems the 5 star has gone down to 4.9,I don't think molly and Junior will be very pleased .
We can't find any kale now
It's probably this awful weather we're having
I think tomorrow I might go outside and do a sun dance!

Re: An apology to Molly and Junior
No kale in Horwich either. And the spring greens are not much cop at the moment - am throwing away more than I use. Tis a good job Chris is working away at the moment I must admit though I am ultra fussy about what goes in the bun's food bowls.
Have you tried Molly and Junior with rocket - I am using that as a substitute for kale

Re: An apology to Molly and Junior
Oh dear. I bet you're not in their good books at all!
We've no kale here either. And the Spring Greens I ordered with the ASDA yesterday got substituted for cabbage
I packed Mojo off to the vets this morning with some spinach, green beans, coriander and a baby carrot. Alongside a bag of dried dandelion, a pot of pellets and lots of his favourite hay. Mum just shook her head

Junior will eat the rocket if I leave it sitting long enough but Molly won't go near it

OH once ordered Lincolnshire style veggie sausages. They were substituted for Lincolnshire pork sausages. That seems like the worst substitution ever!

Maybe I've got no sense of humour but I would have been pretty annoyed that my money had paid for a dead animal

It's OK, she just refused the substitution and they deduct it from the bill.

Re: An apology to Molly and Junior
Oh, ASDA are great like that!
The best one they've done for us, is substitute our fair trade bananas with two packets of non-fair trade. Then, when we say anything they tell us "well, we gave you an extra bunch for free". Ridiculous!
