Brushing Ted Empty Brushing Ted

Or trying to, anyway.

He is a nightmare. I should probably brush him more often, as he has lots of very fine fur, and I worry he'll get a blockage. But it's so stressful for both of us - it goes like this:

1. Chase Ted round the front room.
2. Catch Ted, and bring him kicking over to the sofa.
3. Try to settle Ted on lap.
4. Retrieve Ted from under the coffee table/chair.
5. Settle him and brush him.
6. After 3 brush strokes, chase him round the room, finally retrieving him from the cat tree.
7. 3 more brush strokes, on his other side.
8. Put sudocrem on scratches caused by kicking bunny.
9. Retrieve Ted from cat tree once more.
10. a couple more brush strokes.
11. Give up as Ted runs off under the coffee table and thumps. Lots.

I just don't know how to do it! What can I do?

I have the same problem. Sasha goes MAD if I try to pick her up or restrain her and she is off in a flurry of loose fur and foot flicks. Rolling Eyes

ROFL that's one of the many reasons we love them because they all have their own quirks and characters Laughing

Oh, believe me I know only too well what this is like. And with Mojo it's not really an option to just let him be Sad

I am actually giving him his first good brush and trim tonight since he was shaved. I'll have him up on the kitchen table with someone to help me hold him. The unfamiliar environment will stress him which seems cruel, but he is more inclined to just flatten himself and let me get on with it quickly like that. When I try in their room I have no chance!

Brushing? Rory doesn't give us a chance! We can't catch him! I wish you luck! I'll watch this thread with interest since I need this advice too!
