Oh Molly!!!

I feel like such a terrible bunny mummy for laughing at this but I really couldn't stop I had tears running down my face

I bought a new duvet for the bed in Molly and Junior's room a few weekends ago. OH and I were just making up the bed when Molly came horsing up the stairs. OH had the mattress pulled up on the frame and away from the wall to put the sheet on, so there was a gap between the mattress and the wall, and the mattress and the base of the bed. My OH, in his infinite wisdom, put her on the bed and was play chasing her around it with his hand. She doesn't really trust him very much so she walked away from him. Without taking her eyes off him. Then she, erm, ran out of mattress and fell down the gap beside the wall and the mattress and landed on the frame

My first reaction was fear that the mattress was going to fall on her and crush her but after OH and I looked at each other for a second, he quickly got her out from under it. He put her on the floor, where she glowered at us, and hot footed it back downstairs.

As soon as she was gone we both burst out laughing

The only thing she hurt was her pride!

I wouldn't feel bad, that sounds like it would have been funny to see & I think we can all say we've laughed at times when we shouldn't. One time nibbler was jumping on the sofa (& me), he went to jump on the arm of the sofa, somehow missed & ended up stuck & straddling my arm, wiggling all over the place. It took me far too long to realise that he would get his footing if I lowered my arm, & all because I found it so hilarious. At least you laughed behind Molly's back!

It's so funny when they do things like that, isn't it? Especially when you get the "I meant to do it" look. My cats are experts at it.

My funniest incident with a cat was with Gizmo. OH had just been in the bath, and there were some drips of water on the side from her getting out. Gizmo and Hannah like to walk along the edge of the bath and drink the water(!?). Poor Gizmo slipped and fell in. He tried to tell us he meant it, but he looked so pitiful all soaked to the skin!

I felt very cruel laughing at him, but he shrunk to about half his usual size when wet!

She is just fab..... I love you you waited til she left the room before you laughed! HA ha

I was sat on the sofa last night when Sasha suddenly launched herself at the arm to try and climb up and didn't quite manage it. There was this couple of seconds of frantic scrabbling then a thump. She hopped off looking fairly cross.

Molly jumps up on the sofa the same way sometimes. She always succeeds though. And then head butts me

Sash doesn't usually both unless there is a digestive in view. I don't know what got into her that night!

I remember Paddy cat laying on our coffee table washing himself one evening. As he twisted over to reach his back he dropped off the edge of the table. Like Sue's Gizmo he gave us a look that said he had meant to do that all along. Cat's don't do being laughed at

Poor Molly, I thbnk she was really embarrassed LOL!!

Willow decided to launch herself from a table/upper level thingy in their room onto their cat activity centre the other day. The table was about 1 foot higher than the den thing, and at least a good foot away. She landed with a thud and the whole thing collapsed under her. She hopped away foot flicking, whilst Mojo and I cracked up

I meant to say this last night! Given half a chance, she'd do it anyway

I'm loving all these stories

I've put a new mattress protector on the bed and its a really thick, padded one. It took her every ounce of bounce she has to get up on it this morning

Bless them, they are aware of their imagine much the same way as cats are. I also think they definatley know when we are laughing at them LOL!!
