Toys ??
Has anyone else got buns that are not the slightest bit interested in Toys?
Daisy Loves his toys but C&A have a whole ton, a selection from every type and they are not the slightest bit interested (unless they contain treats).
I dont know if its because they never had any before they got here, or simply becasue they have each other and plenty of free range time.
What do you think?

Neither MJ or Temperance are interested in toys unless there is food involved

Re: Toys ??
Mine mostly don't, then will go through a stage of rattling the balls with bells in.

Re: Toys ??
Layla loves toys - anything she can pick up, shake, chew or throw around goes down well. A treat ball keeps her occupied for ages. Jack follows her with it for ten seconds then loses interest.
Gizmo also loves throwing things.
Rosie has a jingly dumb-bell that she likes, but mostly she enjoys moving her toys to the other side of the hutch when Humum has put them back where Rosie does not want them (in front of the mesh) after cleaning out. Sometimes Humum goes and puts them back there several times
The hu-parents did the loo roll inners stuffed with hay and herbs yesterday. There's not a trace of them left today (except Theo's as he has no front teef).
The rest of us aren't bothered really. I have hundreds of toys but the only one I have played with recently is my carrot log roll. At five am Saturday morning. Bouncing it off the mesh and the floor
The one thing that is universally liked is the knobbly chew things that screw onto the mesh - they get chewed down to nothing fairly quickly

Re: Toys ??
I don't really think mine are interested. Mo likes to play with the odd jingle ball or dumbell every now and again but that's about it. They still have a pretty impressive collection though

Molly and Junior are more interested.
They entertain these sometimes

They love this
http://www.thehayexperts.co.uk/grassy-ball.html
These get chewed to death
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=370609786841&index=1&nav=SEARCH&nid=17816499276
as do chill and chew mats and hay tunnels. But the hay tunnels are an expensive hobby! Don't do it!!!!
To sum up, Molly and Junior enjoy pretty much anything that they can destroy

Oh and the catty pillar. We have four on the go at the moment that are repaired using the chewed off bits of a grassy ball.

Re: Toys ??
Hector has only recently started to enjoy toys other than willow ones. Before it was willow toys got destroyed, everything else got ignored, and now he likes grassy ones and chill & chew mats, and cardboard ones, it's great!!

Re: Toys ??
Mine are very fussy. I think Marley and Dolly are less bothered, as they have eachother to keep themselves entertained. They would also much prefer to destroy their shed than play with some toys.
Its hit and miss with toys though, anything with food is a winner, i try to offer a selection of toys with different textures - plastic, sisal, wood, loofa etc. I also like to make some of my own. Dolly has gone mental for one I made with the natural coasters from Wilkinsons, some of those little wooden nibbles with holes from wilkinsons and some willow sticks, yet she has the same things layed out on the floor that she has completely ignored. I think its to do with the way its presented too, possibly.

None of my buns have ever been interested in toys but I leave a few around for Binky though in case he has a change of heart.
