Stupid next door!

Sad news as I discovered over the weekend that next door to me now has a rabbit! They keep it inside a shop bought two tier hutch and they have no grass in their garden! Poor thing only has a triangle run which I only think should be acceptable for piggies! They also have a young child that screams around the place when it's home. A HUTCH IS NOT ENOUGH!!!

I'd have to go and have a word - no grass is not a disaster if they are feeding it properly but I'd go round and say that I see they have a new bunny and would love to meet him / her then gently educate them on the bun's needs.

That's good idea, seeing bunny from my upstairs window now and again, been inside the hutch every time I look. But hopefully it's getting some time outside of it too.

Your neighbor may respond quite favorably to the info. Be sure and tell them about the vaccinations bunns have to have there in the UK.

RwAF do an excellent book called Hop To It - they will send you a copy if you give them a ring and its free.

I would pop round and say you saw they had a bun and you happened to have this book which helped you a lot and thought they might like it.

I agree with everyone else, it's worth just trying to educate them. It might well turn out that they are actually just unaware of what they are doing wrong rather than being intentionally cruel
