Sighted in Plymouth vue toilets. Does this actually make sense to anyone. I can't help feeling flushing mu st be a new euphemism.

Don't get Humum started - she can't believe how many 'professional' signwriters cannot spell or use punctuation correctly
The ambiguity of that sign also annoys her. Define 'repeatedly' - 5 times or 500?!?

A tesco store I used to work near had all the staff names on the name badges in quote marks. Always amused me

Re: Attack of the renegade punctuation.
Don't get me started!
It's when it's someone doing this stuff for a living that it winds me up! Some of the worst offenders I came across were publications from a former employer - a university of all places! I tried telling colleagues why it mattered that top educational institutions get these things right, but it was in one ear and out the other...

Re: Attack of the renegade punctuation.
This is pretty much how I feel. It doesn't really bother me on forums etc because we're here to have fun and we all make typos and silly mistakes when typing on phones etc but it grates on me when it comes from those who should know better.Sue_pawz wrote:Don't get me started!

I've read some books where the author and the proof reader should both hang their heads in shame!

Re: Attack of the renegade punctuation.
I shouldn't comment at all as my phone and kindle are illiterate! I, of course, am perfect!
I like the fact that they have to highlight the infinitive as if it is a completely new concept!

Re: Attack of the renegade punctuation.
I actually think I might be worried about what would happen if I "flushed".

I think that would mean your pills are no longer "working"
