Kanga - female degu - SURREY

This is Kanga - a female degu who needs a home with other degus for company.

Kanga was originally owned by someone who had her and her sister, Roo. The person no longer wanted them and were planning to give them to someone who kept snakes as food for them. They were rescued and went to live with someone else. Sadly, Roo passed away 4 weeks ago and Kanga's owner no longer wanted her. She said her dogs kept bothering Kanga and she didn't want to get anymore degus. Kanga became increasingly depressed having lost her sister.

Unfortunately we do not know how old she is, but the previous owners had her for three years. They are unsure as to why Roo died.

She's in with my girls at the moment, but I don't want them to get too bonded and then have to uproot her again

Still looking for a home.

It is clear that Kanga is an elderly girl. She has been living with our resident degus since arriving and gets on well with them. Because of her history and age, we have decided to let her live out her days at the rescue as a sanctuary animal.
